Job Scheduling Suite

Super power your ERP system with precise, continually-updated job completion dates (ECDs). With our Job Scheduling Suite, you gain a complete view of your production schedule through an automated engine that calculates ECDs for orders, jobs, operations, and materials multiple times per day without locking records. The suite supports all material types, adapts to your business with customizable data inputs, and provides intuitive dashboards to track job status, link orders to jobs, and prioritize operations in real time. Together, these components deliver exception-based visibility, eliminate outdated dispatch lists, and ensure your team can act immediately when schedules shift or delays arise.

Data Inputs Customized to Your Business

The system adapts to your operational environment by allowing you to define calendars, efficiencies, and machine counts for each operation, or by letting the engine automatically pull these values from the operation’s Resource Group. You can also configure buffers after the final operation completes and set how far into the future the engine should calculate ECDs. These options create accurate forecasting that matches your actual shop behavior.

Automated Job Scheduling Engine

Our automated scheduling engine recalculates ECDs multiple times per day without causing record locks or disrupting live Epicor activity. It leverages and improves upon Epicor’s default backwards scheduling by integrating forward scheduling to create realistic completion timelines while prioritizing jobs that are needed first. The engine evaluates Orders, Jobs, Operations, and Materials and flags any data issues, such as missing purchase orders or incomplete materials. It provides full visibility into successful and failed calculations so your team always knows what requires attention.

Supports All Material Sources and Types

The scheduling suite supports issuing material from Stock, Job-to-Job recursive material chains, and Transfer Orders. The engine traces every material requirement back to its source and calculates accurate arrival times for each path. This ensures that pacing material, dependent jobs, and inbound transfers are always reflected in the final ECD.

Job Status Dashboard

This three-part dashboard breaks every job into its operations and required materials, providing clear visibility into ECDs across all stages of production. Users can see material ECDs, operation-by-operation sequencing, and the final job-level ECD all in one place. Color indicators highlight late items, missing material dates, and completed work to support fast, exception-based decision making.

Job to Order Tie-In Dashboard

This dashboard links open order releases to the jobs that will fulfill them and displays the ECDs for those jobs. It works for both Make to Order and Make to Stock environments and can apply optional time buffers to help manage customer expectations. The result is a more accurate representation of when each order will be ready based on real production flow rather than static due dates.

Operation Priority Queue

The priority queue dashboard displays all scheduled operations for each operation code and can be viewed from shop floor screens or office workstations. It shows which jobs are currently at the resource and ranks upcoming work using priority fields, due dates, and queue logic. High-priority items can be color coded for immediate recognition. These live, dynamic queues eliminate the need for printed dispatch lists that become outdated as soon as they are generated.
